Tell us about yourself
I have a degree in Law from the Universidad Abat Oliba San Pablo CEU and in 2004 I took a Master's degree in Legal Consultancy at the Instituto de Empresa. I am also a Civil, Commercial and Bankruptcy Mediator, as accredited by the General Council of the Judiciary.
I began my professional career at the law firm of PINTO RUIZ & DEL VALLE, in the litigation and commercial law department. Subsequently, I spent nine years working at KPMG as a manager in the Barcelona office in the Insolvency department.
In January 2020 I started working at Baker Tilly as a partner in the Insolvency and Restructuring department, where I mainly work on all aspects of insolvency proceedings.
How do you think these last few years have influenced the way you work?
On the one hand, we have the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic, which taught us that it was possible to work in a coordinated and efficient way from home and, on the other hand, we have the emergence of artificial intelligence (AI), which will undoubtedly teach us a new way of carrying out our work more effectively.
What do you value most about being part of Baker Tilly?
What I value most is the fact of being able to work with a wonderful team, both personally and professionally, and within a firm like Baker Tilly, where everyone is welcome, the client is taken care of and the opinion of all the professionals in the firm is respected, from the first to the last.
What advice would you give to someone starting out in their career?
The first thing I would say is to try to enjoy what you do. Be honest with yourself, with your profession and with your clients, and never stop training!
