Tell us about yourself
I am a law graduate from the University of Barcelona, member of the Barcelona Bar Association, member of the bankruptcy law section and secretary of the cooperative law section of the Barcelona Bar Association. I have a postgraduate degree in family law, although I have never specialised in this area.
I have specialised in procedural, civil and commercial law, with a significant incidence in the area of bankruptcy, having acted as legal counsel in many bankruptcy proceedings.
Since 2020, I have been recognised by the Best Lawyers ranking as a specialist in the area of insolvency and restructuring.
I am manager of the litigation department, where I advise companies, cooperatives and third sector entities in the corporate, contractual and insolvency areas.
How do you think these last few years have influenced the way you work?
The new and multiple forms of communication (telephone, email, WhatsApp,...) and the possibility that anyone has of accessing legal information through internet search engines, oblige us to provide a much more complex response with a high strategic content, which aims to meet the real needs of the client beyond providing a simple reference to the wording of an article of a specific law that anyone can access.
What do you value most in your day-to-day work?
The teamwork and the challenge it involves when we are presented with complex matters that require us to carry out research and plan the right strategy for the client's problem, which often goes beyond a specific legal process.
