Hamelin Group
The Hamelin Group is a family business of French origin, leader in the school and office supplies market.
It distributes its products through well-known brands such as Oxford, Elba, Unilux and Enri, among others. Globally, it has 2,400 employees in 19 different countries and a turnover of more than €400M.
Aim of the project:
The fundamental objective of the Hamelin Group in this project focuses on obtaining homogeneous information from the sell out reports received from different clients in Spain and Portugal, and making a commercial scorecard from this.
Work done:
From the Data Analytics team we have planned the project in two distinct phases:
- Phase I: homogenisation of the information received from the different clients. This information is received in a totally different way, both in terms of file format and file structure. Phase I was therefore a challenge insofar as a common database had to be generated from totally different sources of information.
- Phase II: preparation of the commercial dashboard itself, the biggest challenge of which was to tackle, in the same dashboard, a very executive vision together with another totally detailed one (going as far as point-by-point analysis).
"The development of the dashboard has allowed us: on the one hand, to automate a process that was a huge workload and, moreover, to do it proactively; on the other hand, to obtain indicators and analysis tables down to the smallest detail, adapted to the user's analysis needs in each case".
