Webinar: New excise tax on non-reusable plastic containers

The entry into force of the special tax on non-reusable plastic packaging, included in the new Law 7/2022 on waste and contaminated soils, taxes the use throughout the Spanish territory of non-reusable packaging containing non-recycled plastic, whether it is empty or containing, protecting, handling, distributing and presenting goods.

As we already shared in an informative article on this tax, plastics are very present in our daily life and are found in all types of packaging and at any stage of the manufacturing, distribution and consumption chain, which means that all those that are not recyclable or reusable, will have the obligation to pay this tax.
